lessons from the tide
Today I watched the tide roll in. Consistently massaging boulders that have been stalwart for thousands of years.
The power of this flexible, seemingly weak force was not lost on me. I watched it fearlessly pound and gently caress the boulders proven to stand the test of time. And yet, I know, and perhaps the sea does too, that each wave changes that boulder just a little at a time.
Isn't that a metaphor for life? For what we think has no impact and yet consistently massages us, until we are changed. Just a little bit at a time.
